Play in Dore is run by a highly qualified childcare professional who has more than 12 years of experience in the industry. She has many values, and holds a strong belief in learning through play, allowing for a deeper and more fulfilling learning experience that encourages pride in self-discovery.
Choosing Only the Finest Staff
Play in Dore comprises a number of talented staff, including owner Niala Haq and multiple suitable play workers. All of our staff are DBS checked, have significant experience working with children, and undertake professional development training. We maintain a staff to child ratio of 1:8 for children under the age of 8, and a ratio of 1:10 for children over the age of 8. During the recruitment stage we conduct a number of checks by following the safe recruitment policy under the statutory requirements by OFSTED prior to finalising an employment. The applicants first complete an application form before carrying out a formal interview. They will then be required to demonstrate relevant qualifications, and provide references and DBS-check documentation.
Qualifications and Training
Once we have employed staff, and their DBS certification has been validated, we put them through a variety of training courses to improve their skills. These include safeguard training, first-aid training, and food hygiene training.
As a company, Play in Dore is Ofsted™ registered, which means we are required to maintain the highest standard of care possible and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Due to this registration we are able to accept childcare vouchers, which allow parents to save money while also receiving first-class child care. Our Ofsted regulated registration number for the After School Club is EY484807 and the Holiday Club is EY488574.
